Improving Girl-Child Education
People’s Action for Development is partnering with the Malala Fund to improve girls’ education in 10 tea estates in Assam, North-east India.
This project aims to address current ineffective approaches to the promotion of education in marginalised tea garden communities of upper Assam.
Over 3 years, running through to the end of 2025, the project will focus specifically on school-age girls and wider community empowerment. It will ensure better education outcomes, improve classroom competencies and increase social equity in a cost-effective manner.
