Philipson Sona

Deputy Director, Project Coordinator

Philipson is the Project Coordinator for our project- Strengthening Resilience: Sustainable Adaptation to Climate Change in Flood-Affected Areas of Assam, as well as PAD's Deputy Director.

How long have you been working with People's Action for Development?

I joined PAD in 2019.

What did you do before joining PAD?

I obtained my Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the Bosco Institute (Dibrugarh University) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development (PGDRD) from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Previously in PAD, I worked as an Advocacy Liaison Officer on the Trans Boundary Rivers of South Asia (TROSA) project supported by Oxfam India, and as Project Coordinator of Access and Quality Education of Adivasi Children supported by Aide et Action South Asia.

For you, what is the best thing about working for PAD?

The friendly environment, motivated people, and being able to work independently.
