Improvement Of Girl Child Education In The Tea Garden Areas Of Lakhimpur
People’s Action for Development has partnered with the Malala Fund to improve girls’ education in 10 tea estates in Assam, India.
This project aims to address current ineffective approaches to the promotion of education in marginalised tea garden communities of upper Assam.
Over 3 years, running through to the end of 2025, the project will focus specifically on school-age girls and wider community empowerment. It will ensure better education outcomes, improve classroom competencies and increase social equity in a cost-effective manner.
